I grew up in Minnesota and graduated St. Olaf college in 2012 with a Chemistry degree and did my student teaching in Chicago Public Schools the fall after graduation. Since then I have taught in Honduras, Austria, South Korea, and The Netherlands before moving here to Houston. BISH is appealing to me because it is a large school with high standards. In addition to that, it also allows me to be much closer to my family while still being in a part of the US which is culturally very different from what I grew up in.
I enjoy all sorts of different disciplines from chemistry and physics to economics to languages. I love to learn about various topics and do my best to be somewhat educated in all aspects of life. I also am a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. In addition to this, I love to travel and experience new cultures. I have moved here from The Netherlands with my partner Astrid, and this is my first time being back in the US in nearly 7 years.
