Whilst there I built on my leadership skills and reprised my role as Art Coordinator, implementing a new Art curriculum that focused on teaching a vast array of skills through interdisciplinary projects. During my 13 years as a Primary School teacher, I discovered my passion for cross-curricular learning and the creativity that this interdisciplinary approach brings. In 2017, I formally transitioned into the Secondary School setting as a Visual Arts & Deign Thinking teacher, as well as a teacher of English. Since then, I have taken my passion for STEAM learning and applied it to my role as Global Partnerships Lead for the school, with a focus on facilitating our UNICEF, Juilliard and MIT collaborations. I am currently the GC Regional Lead Teacher for North America, as well as an MIT Curriculum Developer, creating STEAM tutorials on Global Campus (GC); our online platform for partnerships, challenges, competitions and resource sharing across all of Nord Anglia Education.
Since joining The British International school of Houston in 2011, myself and my husband have started a family and fully embraced the Texan lifestyle. We love living in Houston and experiencing all the diversity that Texas has to offer. My family and I love to travel, and we have a particular penchant for American theme parks.
