I studied pure Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland and achieved an honors degree. I went on to obtain my teaching qualification in Mathematics and Chemistry. I taught both subjects early in my career. I then taught Mathematics for 8 years in Aberdeen before having a career break. We moved to Jakarta, Indonesia where I occasionally worked in the British International School supply teaching. After 6 years, we moved again with my husband’s job to Houston Texas. I worked initially in the Mathematics department and then began teaching Science and Chemistry in December 2013.
The British International School of Houston is a wonderful place to work. The students are motivated to learn and work effectively to achieve their full potential. The Science department collaborate well as a team, each supporting one another. It is an extremely welcoming working environment for both staff and students.
I am married with two children. My son is 22 years old and my daughter is 17 years old. Both children have attended the British International School of Houston. We are extremely happy here and love the friendly supportive staff that is employed by the school. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures as well as walking my two dogs.
