I worked as a science teacher in the UK for 4 years before deciding to make the move to international schools. In Chicago I moved into the role of Head of Science after 2 years and played a big role in designing the new South Loop campus in terms of the Science department. I moved to Thailand and within a year took on the Head of Science role there, and enjoyed my time exploring that part of the world, and learning a variety of new skills. Unfortunately with the events of the past year, living and working in Southeast Asia became much more difficult, and I made the decision to move back to the United States. I'm excited to be here, and especially excited by everything I've seen so far at the school, I can't wait to see what the students achieve in the coming years.
After finishing my degree in Marine Biology, I spent four years teaching in the UK before moving to Chicago to work at my first international school. I spent 9 years there, and moved (only to force myself out of my comfort zone) with my wife to Thailand, where I spent the last three years at a British International School in Bangkok. I'm a passionate photographer and have had worked professionally in this field over the years. I love to travel and explore, particularly wilderness camping and hiking.
