I studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Queen Mary, University of London from 2011-2014 and then completed my PGCE in Secondary Chemistry in 2014-2015 at the Institute of Education. Whilst at university, I volunteered and dedicated my time working with young children to better prepare them for their future. It was during this time which led to my decision to become a teacher.
I enjoy teaching all year groups at secondary level and worked in the UK for 2 years as a Science teacher before starting my international teaching experience in Shanghai. I spent 2 years teaching IGCSE and A-level Chemistry in a bilingual school before joining my first Nord Anglia Education experience in Shanghai. I motivate my students through praise and continue to implement this every day in my classroom. I believe knowledge will give you power, but character will give respect. I am really excited to continue working within the Nord Anglia Foundation here in Houston and continue passing on my knowledge to our future generation.
In my spare time, I like to take part in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and rock climbing. I like to challenge myself when it comes to physical activities and also in other aspects of my life. I have a passion for cooking and travelling around the world, learning about different cuisines and cultures.
