BISH is my third IB school. I have previously taught at IB World Schools in Finland, and the UK, having started my teaching career at a typical English state school in the South West. I have previously been Head of Department, a leader in gamification in the classroom and flipped learning, and Extended Essay Coordinator. I also have a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management. I am also an IBDP Psychology examiner, and have been for some time. Moving into international education was a complete eye-opener for me; I really love the IB programme and am in awe of the students that complete it. It's tough! In all honesty, when I found BISH I wasn't even really looking to leave my previous school. But, I saw the job and thought I wanted to give it a go, and see where things went. As I got further along the process, I realised that BISH completely fit the bill for me, and, after my interview in London, I hoped that I was what they were looking for.
I always draw a bit of a blank when writing these things! Although my email address may say Victoria, everyone calls me Vicky. I'm from England, but have also spent 5 years living in Finland before returning to the UK. I enjoy cooking, reading, Zumba and going out for dinner. I love Pandora jewellery, decorative glass, Lego, and am a bit of a gamer. I'd very much like to own my own glass fusing kiln one day, and make my own jewellery and decorative glass pieces. I'd also like to redo my Zumba teaching license and get back out there sharing Zumba fun!
