I qualified at Robert Gordon's University, Aberdeen and have been a UK Registered General Nurse for 30 years specializing in Burns, Orthopedics, Medicine and Surgery. My biggest achievement was being actively involved in the Piper Alpha Disaster and leading the Quality Assurance group for the Surgical Directorate at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.  I started a Self Help Group for people with facial disfigurement called “About Face” which is still active to this day. Other achievements include being responsible for setting up the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary “Tissue Viability Group” which ultimately increased awareness and significantly reduced the number of patients requiring invasive pressure sore reconstruction.

I have a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) and have worked in various industries. Started off by assisting my dad with his retail furniture business in UAE and then moved on to stints in Real Estate Management, Market Research, Marketing and Advertising, Branding, Event Management and now Education. I am also an entrepreneur and co-founded multiple businesses. My wife and I decided to travel and live in different parts of the world and that brought us to America, a country we have always wanted to come to. And when a challenging opportunity came up to manage the school transportation, I joined BISH and was able to make innovative changes to running the school buses and travel. Using my management background I am also able to contribute to different administrative departments in school.
