My name is Deborah Henderson and known as Deb. I am from Newcastle. I came to Texas in 2006 with my husband, who is a Business Manager at Axzo Nobel and two children, who at the time were 13 and 7. We have been here now for 15 years. My son is an Ex Alumni of British International School of Houston and graduated form BISH in 2012. He Studied at UT Texas and then 3 years at Law school and is currently a Public Defender in Houston. My Daughter has recently graduated from Texas State University and is in the final interviews for her first job in marketing. I attend the gym daily and love to cycle. I love to socialize with friends. I enjoy cooking and baking.
My mantra in life is that I hope my children and family always achieve their goals and have health and happiness always.
I qualified as an RGN in 1986 at South Tyneside Nursing School. This had always been a stepping stone for me in order to train as a Midwife. I qualified as a Midwife in 1988. I honestly had the best job ever. After working within the hospital setting for 10 years I then worked as a Midwifery Sister for another 10 years within the Community, caring for women from varying ethnic, religious, professional, socio-economic backgrounds. I worked closely with my Team Members as well as GP's, Social Workers and Health Visitors. I have a passion for home deliveries and had the privilege of attending many.
I had the honor of being on many working groups within my job in order to enhance women's experiences within the Hospital and Community settings.
My decision to work at the School was an easy one. The School offers so much to Students, Parents and Staff.
We work within a Multi-cultural diverse and inclusive environment. The school has a passion for its community and it shines through when ever you come to the campus. I love working here and love Neezie. We are two halves of a whole. The question is "Why would I not work here?"
