I was a student Nurse at South Tyneside and Gateshead School of Nursing from 1983-1986. Qualified as an RGN and staffed on a mixed Medical Ward. Applied to Queen Elizabeth Midwifery School and was successful and commenced my Student Midwifery in March 1987. I qualified as a Registered Midwife in September 1988.
I staffed on a rotational basis for the following 10 years on Antenatal, Labour, Postnatal wards, as well as the community. In 1996 I commenced my degree. I was then promoted to Community Midwifery Sister in 1997. I graduated in 2000 from Northumbria University with Bsc (Hons) in Midwifery Sciences.
My husband’s job brought us to Houston in 2006 and to the British International School of Houston.
I was asked to attend an interview for the Welfare assistant and have been with the school as the Welfare Officer since August 2012.
I am married with two children. My eldest son is 24 and a BISH alum, attended UT Austin and graduated in 2015 and double majored and gained his Bsc.(Hons) in Government, Politics and History. He is currently in Law school. My Daughter is 19 and is in her second year of University at Texas State. She is also a fitness instructor and is working towards getting her national certification. I love to go to the gym and work out. My husband and I have a great social life here in Houston and a have a wonderful circle of friends. We love to eat out and socialize.
