Ms Emily Cant

Emily Cant

Teacher of Science (Biology)

BSc in Biology - University of Nottingham PGCE Science (with Biology) - University of Cambridge MEd - University of Cambridge.

After completing her PGCE in Secondary Science (with Biology), Emily worked at a top performing grammar school for five years teaching all Sciences at KS3, GCSE Triple Biology and Biology A Level.

During this time she completed a Masters in Education at the University of Cambridge. Her thesis focused on the benefits of mastery teaching, something which she now actively incorporates into her lessons to ensure maximum progression of the students she teaches.

In her last two years at this school Emily was Head of Years 8 & 9, and is passionate about providing individualised pastoral support that goes above and beyond.

Emily has a love of the outdoors, and has assisted in the Duke of Edinburgh Award (Gold, Silver and Bronze) taking trips around the UK with many students, and is looking forward to travelling SE Asia and experiencing a range of beautiful landscapes first hand.
