Last week, 2RC explored the topic ‘A Different Lens’ as a part of their first STEAM project.
We spent our first session looking at the skills we will develop through our STEAM lessons – curiosity, creativity and problem solving! First we thought of thought-provoking questions that we wanted to know the answer to like ‘Why do onions make use cry?’ and ‘How do clouds float?’. Then we got our creative juices flowing and we came up with ideas about things we’d like to invent, the class favourite being a machine that does your homework! Finally we had to work together to solve the very tricky Fox, Chicken and Grain Problem! It was a great morning finding out about the different skills so that we were ready to take on the ‘Different Lens’ challenge!
