In our project work in Year 4, we have been learning about the rainforest!
The children have discovered all about the animals and people that live in different rainforests around the world. They have also learned about the rainforest layers, what produce we get from the rainforest and importantly, the effect of deforestation. The retelling of the story ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ by Lynne Cherry in 4CS, 4BS and 4VF’s assembly, highlighted all these aspects.
The children really enjoyed creating a wonderful rainforest scenery and brought the rainforest alive with their fantastic acting.
