Mrs Kiara Gray

Kiara Gray

Deputy Head of Lower Primary

Kiara gained her Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and then went on to get her Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.

As a part of her university course, Kiara was given the opportunity to teach in a variety of diverse settings with children of all socio-economic backgrounds. These experiences helped foster her love and passion for teaching children.  After qualifying, she went to the UK and taught Years 2, 3 and 5. Whilst in the UK she achieved her Qualified Teacher Status and Overseas Trained Teacher certification.

Kiara has been at Dover Court International School for over 6 years.  During which time she has taught Year 1 and 2, worked as Year Group Leader, organised whole school events such as UN day and led a variety of subject areas including English and PSHCE for the Primary School.

Her passion for Early Education has led her to her current post of Deputy Head of Lower Primary. She recognises that children learn and grow best in an environment that is engaging and motivating.  Kiara has worked with her teams to ensure that the curriculum offered gives children the opportunities that they require to be happy, to be resilient, to be kind, to be learners but to most importantly ‘Be Ambitious’ in all that they do.
