Mastiana joined Dover Court from Nord Anglia Chinese International School Shanghai (NACIS), where she taught and led the pastoral team. Prior to teaching in Shanghai, Mastiana has worked in Australia, London and Qatar. She has always loved Asia and how multifaceted it is, so she is very excited for the next chapter of her career and life in Singapore.
Throughout her career, Mastiana has worked with children from varied backgrounds with unique needs. She has always felt very passionately about mentoring students, finding out what makes them tick and helping students to forge their own identity.
Mastiana was able to develop this skill further in her role as Pastoral Leader at NACIS by creating and implementing systems designed to support and guide students. She believes that when teachers, parents and students work together anything is possible. Mastiana is really looking forward to developing her experience and passion at Dover Court.
When she is not talking to students or thinking of ways to teach the apostrophe rule, Mastiana enjoys all things active such as hiking, training at the gym and playing netball. She is an avid cricket fan, her home teams being Bangladesh and Australia. Besides sport, she loves a good biryani, travelling to new places and trying local cuisines.
