Go Vap Orphanage Trip

08 April 2016

Last Saturday, we went back to the Go Vap Pagoda orphanage to do activities and play with the children there...

It was a very successful trip, which had been planned by the Go Vap Committee over the last few months.  The group was split into 3 activities:  arts and crafts, sports and games, and activities with the kids with disabilities.  Everyone of the group contributed and worked really well together.  Highlights included mask making, learning new tricks with the hula hoop, playing hopscoth and of course the much-loved giant parachute!

Look out for our next visit during term 3, which will be art themed.  The plan so far is a large wall-art project and making name plaques for the children there.  If you’re interested in art, or just playing with the children, please come along and enjoy a day getting involved with this great community project.  Sign up will be announced on the bulletin during term 3.
