Then the Houses were ready for action, week on week, right from the start our KS3 students engaged in various different challenges. From Quizzes, Escape Rooms, Dancing, Singing, Wacky races, Orienteering even getting them all to freeze for the ultimate TBS Mannequin challenge (watch the video below!), our KS3 students got stuck right in.
They demonstrated the qualities of a good House system, such as, teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership and really stepped out of their comfort zone to face some of the more complex challenges.
Bison appeared to have it all figured out with a comfortable lead on the other Houses throughout the Term and they looked to be the obvious winners, but it wasn't to be. Lynx managed to claw their way back by obtaining a lot of house points within their classes and this had a significant impact on the scoreboard, so much so, that they overtook Bison and have been crowned the winners for this Term. They got to enjoy a pizza party and to wear their House colours Blue with pride!
Term 2, however, promises to be just as intriguing, we have a Trashion Fashion, a History-themed Escape Room, and even Harry Potter is going to make an appearance, so much to look forward to with a lot of mysterious twists along the way. Can Lynx sustain their lead?
Time will tell, for now Lynx can revere in their success.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
