What is happening at a Global Level at TBS?

As most of you are already aware this year at TBS our main Global Campus challenge was to tackle Goal#4 Quality Education and Goal#16 Strong and Peaceful Institutions.

  • Global Campus

Our wonderful IB students saw this as a great opportunity to both actively get involved in the community and gain some CAS hours. We also had volunteers from KS3 and KS4.

With great determination and commitment they came to school every Saturday from October to actively aid children from  the Broken Ties Charity with their English whilst adopting a CLIL approach to learning. As  Secondary Global Campus Co-Coordinator for TBS, I could not be more proud of this future generation and  I am sincerely grateful for their contribution.

This project has been entered into a Global Social Leaders competition run by Future Foundations and has received incredible feedback. Please see a blog post from one our IB volunteers below.

In other news, we are currently running a Visual Arts Competition within the school, with the focus very much on both Goals#4 and 16 and we hope you actively encourage your child to get involved in such a meaningful competition that truly reflect our societal times. I am sure our students will have a plethora ideas after returning from the MUN conference in Switzerland!
