As a result, the IB students had an opportunity to formally apply and go through interviews in order to build a new IB Student Leadership Team.
It was a very difficult decision, we had a lot of wonderful applicants who selflessly wanted to be involved and become ambassadors for the school. However, today we announced the new team, which will pick up the reins from our year 13’s (Tosia, Quentin, Zofia, Matteo, Olivia, and Christian).
The original group in a short time, have left a very positive legacy for our new team to follow. They have managed to deal with eradicating all plastics from our canteen, which include the unsustainable straws and forks that get thrown out daily. They have worked tirelessly in trying to provide a first aid course for all IB and Pre-IB students, which will give them a full day of training and an official certificate at the end and they have worked hard on planning, with other year 13 students (Ala and Marianna) the best studniowka the school has seen yet.
It is with some sadness that we must allow these year 13’s to focus on their studies, but as a school we are proud and thankful of their accomplishments and we look to our new team with excitement as they begin to shape these roles and have a positive impact on the school.
Our new Student Leadership Team, which will be in place for one year, has now expanded and comprises of the following students:
Head Boy: Filip F
Head Girl: Alicia H
Deputy Head Boy: Vincent D
Deputy Head Girl: Liza S
As we head into a much needed break, our new Student Leadership team will be brainstorming ideas and specialised roles that they will be taking on shortly. We sincerely thank all applicants and congratulate those who have accepted these positions.
