Inspired by the ongoing research into “Making learning visible” from Harvard University, the new project for year 7 History students reflects how the building of castles can be connected with description, explanation and evaluation of medieval defence systems. It embodies the five key principles of visible learning: that learning is purposeful, social, emotional, empowering, and representational.
