Key Stage 3 Chess Club Tournament

Key Stage 3 Chess club has been in operation since September 2018

  • KS3 Chess

The club takes place in IB 202 every Wednesday 12:30-1:25pm. Students spent numerous chess sessions on learning how to checkmate the opponent using only a rook or a combination of a bishop and knight as well as practicing the most common chess openings, strategies and combinations. On the 28th of November they started using this knowledge in practice through the participation in a club tournament. Students played a round or two every Wednesday during the chess club. The tournament finished on the 10th of April.
