During the exams teachers are still offering a multitude of revision sessions and drop-ins and are available for students to offer any advice and reviews; please encourage your child to take advantage of these sessions. We wish those students taking examinations the best of luck; stay calm, stay rested and stay focused.
Meanwhile, lower down the school, students are being prepared for end of year assessments. Many of these will be in the form of an exam and for Year 9 & 10 students these are conducted in an exam hall-style venue. The objective here is to allow them to familiarise themselves with the formal setting and procedures that IGCSE exams entail so that in their final exams they can better focus on the exam itself rather than be surprised or intimidated by their surroundings. Year 7 & 8 students will find themselves sitting either an exam or an alternative assessment depending on the subject. Please see the email that Mr Bezodis has sent out regarding exams for each year group for further details. One of the main points of his emails is the emphasise that we rely on parents to help us ensure our students do their best but in so doing that they are not overly stressed or anxious. Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions about the assessment week.
News from Iceland is that the Year 9's are having a wonderful time and really enjoying their time exploring the magic of this island. This is the third year of running this highly successful trip and the beauty of it is that there is so much learning to be done both geographically and socially. We look forward to hearing more when the group returns on Saturday morning.
On a final note, please remember that the TBS Music Gala is on June 5th . With nearly 270 students from Lim performing it promises to be an amazing showcase of our students’ musical talents; we hope you are able to join us.
