The last few IAs and coursework pieces are being completed, oral exams in the Languages are taking place and extra help sessions are happening in an increasing number of subjects. If you have received an email specifically inviting your son/daughter to an extra session in a subject, please can you make sure you do all you can to facilitate their attendance. Now is definitely the time for Year 11 and Year 13 students to sort out difficulties and iron out misunderstandings and ensure that they clearly know what they need to do to achieve success in their external exams.
Our visits, visitors and meetings programmes over the next few weeks have had to be curtailed because of the risks associated with COVID-19, but lessons in school continue very much as normal. Any students who are absent from school, whether in connection to COVID-19 or other reasons, are expected to access the materials and complete the tasks via Firefly and, if they do need clarification on any of the work set, they can email their teachers directly with their queries. Students absent, but not ill, should definitely not wait until they return to school to catch up on their work.
Next week is scheduled for Sport Relief in secondary. Students can wear red T shirts on Monday and there will be activities at break and lunch during the week.
