Performing Arts Teacher
A former professional performer and choreographer, Alison Bates teaches music, drama and dance to all of primary and lower secondary students. She has a wealth of experience teaching the arts to all ages, and has a passion for encouraging all children to explore their innate creativity!
EAL Teacher
Citizen of the world with third culture children, Rose Beale teaches English as an Additional Language to the school's international students.
Head of Humanities and Social Sciences
Zach studied History and Politics at Oxford, graduating in 2010, followed by a PGCE in Citizenship Education at the University of London. He spent his NQT year teaching PSHCE and Politics in South Yorkshire, reasonably close to his native Halifax, before moving back to London to become Head of Politics in a large comprehensive faith school. Zach learned a lot during his time there, and particularly enjoyed his role supporting students through the UCAS process, but after four years, was looking for a new challenge and has found it in BISW!

Carolyn's teaching career has taken her around the world, teaching a wide range of ages from Early Years to Primary, Secondary and adults.

After attending University in Sunderland, Tracey began her career as a Commercial Artist specialising in Illustration. Her love of Art led her into a career in teaching which began in North Yorkshire where she taught Art and DT. Whilst teaching in London, Tracey was able to additionally train as a primary school teacher and has enjoyed teaching across a wide range of age groups throughout her career.
