Katie Stewart

Secondary Leader for Student Experience; English and Drama Teacher

After graduating from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, with a BA in English and Drama, I went on to complete my PGCE in English with Drama at the University of Warwick.  In 2014, I completed a Masters in Education from Durham University, UK.

I have been teaching English and Drama at the British International School of Washington for 10 years. Before moving to DC, I taught at a 14-18 college in Leicestershire, UK.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, I have been afforded opportunities to collaborate with colleagues at The Juilliard School in New York to enhance the performing arts experience for our students. Additionally, I have worked to ensure our students can engage with Nord Anglia’s work with UNICEF; in 2017, I accompanied students to the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit in New York. It has been a privilege to work with both institutions to expose our students to excell in both fields.
