Laura Anson 2021

Head of Social Studies

Laura Anson is the Head of Social Studies, responsible for History, Geography, Global Perspectives, Economics and Global Politics. Her specialism is History.

I am thrilled to have joined BISW after teaching for six years at our sister school in Chicago, BISC, where I taught History and was Head of Year 12 and 13. I originally came from Warrington, England; however, I spent several years growing up and learning at international schools, as my parents worked within the military. I admire the BISW vision of inspiring independent learners who explore and analyse different perspectives. I love teaching in a global environment and am excited to lead the social sciences in the political capital of the world. I am an avid reader and traveller.
