A two-week summer EAL program for incoming non-English speaking students in 2014 brought me to BISW - and I am still here!
I was born in Damascus, Syria to an Armenian family. I worked for the US Embassy, and later joined my American husband, a Foreign Service Officer with the State Department, in the US. Together with our two sons, we had many postings overseas and had wonderful opportunities to explore interesting parts of the world.
Throughout the years and places, I have done quite a few things under various circumstances; but teaching captured my heart, and for almost twenty years I worked with English Language learners of all ages and nationalities.
I enjoy reading, traveling, exercising and above all staying active and keeping up learning. And what a better place than an International School environment for me to achieve my goals!
