I grew up in the city of Barcelona, Spain, where I developed a love for languages. I have studied French in Paris, German in Hamburg, and speak six languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian, Catalan and German). After finishing my schooling, I moved to the U.S. to join my American husband. I have taught Spanish and French language in public and private schools in St. Louis, Mo., Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, VA. I also have taught adult classes, including at Berlitz. I am delighted now to share my passion for languages with the students at British International School of Washington.
I enjoyed strolling in big cities, swimming and taking ballet lessons. I am also a fan of jazz music, and buying vintage clothing and jewellery. My perfect day includes having a great book or a fashion magazine in my hands and taking a bike ride with my family. I love visiting little fishing villages and beaches along the Mediterranean coast.
It has a diverse international student body, which is open minded, tolerant and always curious and ready for learning more. The students bring knowledge, challenge and sophistication to the community. Because of the small class sizes, teachers know their students well and take care of them as individual learners.
