Recruiting and developing teachers is the single biggest factor in improving student performance. At the British International School of Washington, we are committed to supporting our teachers to be the best they can be.
Our teacher training and continuing professional development is done through Nord Anglia University.
This vibrant, in-house professional community offers a diverse range of learning opportunities for all members of our staff. This could be anything from attending one of the Nord Anglia University leadership programs to engaging with other teachers from our family of 55 international schools through the online networks. The current programs include online professional support forums, regionally based teacher training conferences, and workshops in school.
We believe that our contemporary approach to continuing professional development enables our teachers to learn and develop, enabling them to bring the best of contemporary educational thinking to your child.
