BISW partnered with Flik Independent School Dining to provide delicious, healthy, and locally sourced meal service for students and staff. This service will be enhanced in fall 2018 with the opening of a newly renovated dining hall and kitchen facilities.

Flik offers two options for meal service: meal plans and a la carte food purchases.
Meal plans allow students to eat lunch every school day of the year or term for a flat price. Each combo meal includes an entree, two sides, a dessert, and a drink. Students on the meal plan enjoy a reduced price per meal, compared with students who purchase a meal a la carte.

Meal plan costs are pro-rated for parents who sign up for the meal plan after the start of the year. Pro-rata and invoicing information is available from the Finance department.

A la Carte Meals
If you prefer to eat meals from our dining hall periodically, Flik offers a la carte pricing of combo meals (an entree, two sides, dessert, and a drink) or any portion of a combo meal. There are also a number of quick-service packaged items available for a la carte service.
Purchasing A la Carte service
Buying food a la carte from the dining hall provides flexibility for children who don't want a school meal every day. Each combo meal is priced a little higher in a la carte service, than if you purchased a meal plan.
Paying for a la carte food can be done in a variety of methods.
- Cash or Check at the register (debit and credit cards once the new dining hall opens)
- Using a declining balance of My School Bucks
My School Bucks is a service that allows parents to add money to a child's school account to purchase food from the dining hall. Parents can create a My School Bucks account online, choose our school, add their children to their account using their name and date of birth, and add money to the account online via credit card. Parents can see a record of their child's purchases online. You can also add money to your child's My School Bucks account in-person, at the register, with cash or check.
