Visits and Trips
The British International School of Washington makes excellent use of the rich cultural opportunities offered in a capital city. Educational excursions are organized regularly throughout the school year to enhance the learning experiences in the classroom.
Longer overnight trips are also offered to enhance the physical, emotional, and social development of students. Year 2 pupils stay overnight in Delaware to enrich their unit of work “We’re going on Holiday”. Upper primary classes go on a residential excursion, currently to Camp Horizons in Harrisonburg, VA where they are challenged and inspired in a natural environment.
The Global Classroom is an innovative and modern on-line educational program unique to Nord Anglia Education.
The Global Classroom runs school challenges where students are given access to world-leading experts to develop their team building and creative skills in a real context.
