From Radishes to Eco-Parliament. PBIS Students Supporting Green Initiatives in School PBIS leads the way in the Czech Republic as an Eco School in teaching students about environmental issues as well as practicing what they preach.

The fantastic work of our eco team at Vlastina has been recognised in Aktualne.cz in an article about how green topics and more crucially initiatives outside the classroom, are not common in the curriculum in the Czech Republic. Vlastina Deputy Head Louise McCloy says that activities beyond environmental issues in the curriculum developed here by chance.  "We just started to enjoy growing radishes at school. We started to enjoy eco-themes," she says. The school garden was gradually expanded, with the addition of strawberries, flowers, herbs and cherries. McCloy already knew the Ecoschool program from Scotland, and when she once walked around her old neighborhood of Střešovice, where the green flag of the project flew, she found out that the international initiative also works in the Czech Republic.
