Arguably the most challenging part of the school journey is getting started – that first day and the lead up to it can feel overwhelming at times. With this in mind, we have designed a comprehensive orientation programme designed to make the transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
We organise pre-term welcome events for new families, offering our incoming students a chance to explore the school and meet their future classmates. These events also provide you with an opportunity to get to know SISD and connect with other parents. If you’re a family coming to SISD from outside Dubai or even from another country, we provide tailored support to ensure that we accommodate your specific needs.
SISD offers a range of flexible boarding arrangements for students, including full boarding, weekly and flexi-boarding. This means your child can stay on site as much or as little as you wish, whether you’d like to fully immerse them as a live-in student or just provide weekly accommodation to reduce travel during study days.
We understand that when you’re not there, as a parent you need to be sure someone is looking out for your child and providing support each and every day. At SISD, that is a priority.
We have a dedicated pastoral team who provide 24/7 support for our students, ensuring both wellbeing and academic excellence.

As a parent, no-one will understand the feeling of your child studying away from home quite like another parent. That’s why we regularly bring families together, helping you to connect with and support other likeminded people.
The SISD Parents’ Association was formed to foster a community culture and support the school with meeting its BEST values through events and special initiatives.
The SISD PA organises a range of events, both in person and virtual, such as SISD Community Connections – an inter-community networking event designed to allow parents to showcase and discover everything they do beyond parenting. Other events include annual International Days, Community Iftar, winter markets and other exciting events.
As much as the student community is a big part of the SISD experience, so too is the parent community. When you’re a parent of a SISD student, you will always be surrounded by people living the same experiences, allowing you to connect, learn and share while your child grows as a student.
An important part of SISD culture is the desire to continually improve, and we do this through ongoing dialogue with parents.
We provide regular updates through our newsletters and announcements to keep you in the loop with upcoming events and student achievements.
