WHAT WE WEAR
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
At SISD, we are very proud of our uniform, and students are expected to wear their SISD uniform at all times when on campus unless specific permission has been authorised.
School uniforms must also be worn when representing SISD off-campus – for example, when attending sports fixtures or participating in field trips. SISD uniforms are ready for pick-up at Zaks Uniform Store on Jumeirah Beach Road.
Pre-KG to Grade 5
Early Years & Primary School
Daily Uniform
Students must wear:
- White half-sleeve shirt or white short-sleeve blouse, or the SISD red polo shirt
- Summer Dress (Pre-KG to Grade 3)
- Grey herringbone bermuda shorts or grey skort
- White or charcoal socks
- Black shoes/Trainers (sandals are not permitted)
The SISD red polo is available in two versions, a cotton polo and a G-Force performance polo.
PE Uniform
Students must wear:
- Pre-KG to Grade 2: SISD red G-Force PE polo and black PE shorts
- Grades 3 to 5: SISD red G-Force PE polo or red round-neck PE t-shirt, and black PE shorts
Additional Options
- SISD red fleece jacket (recommended during cooler months)
- House colour t-shirts (Grade 1 to Grade 5): Bern, Lugano, Zurich, Geneva
- Summer cap/hat (compulsory for Pre-KG to Grade 2, optional for Grades 3 to 5)
Grades 6–12
Secondary School
Grade 6 to Grade 10
Daily Uniform
Students must wear:
- White half-sleeve shirt or white short-sleeve blouse, or the SISD red polo shirt
- Grey skirt, grey herringbone trousers or charcoal wide-leg trousers
- Closed-toe shoes
The SISD red polo is available in two versions, a cotton polo and a G-Force performance polo.
Additional Options
- SISD red fleece jacket (recommended during cooler months)
- House colour t-shirts: Bern, Lugano, Zurich, Geneva
Uniform Expectations
- Only official SISD uniform items are permitted
- Outer layer: SISD red fleece jacket only
- Students arriving out of uniform may be asked to wear spare items and repeated breaches will follow behaviour policy procedures
- Jewellery and make-up should remain appropriate
- Facial hair should be neatly maintained
Grade 11 & Grade 12
Students follow a Business Attire Dress Code in accordance with the school policy.
ESSMAK: PERSONALISED NAME LABELS
We have partnered with Essmak to offer families the option of personalised name labels for the new school year. Labelling belongings is the simplest way to ensure items are returned quickly and to reduce what ends up in Lost and Found.

Swimming Requirements
KG1 – Grade 8 (Compulsory on swimming days)
Students must wear the official SISD swim kit:
- SISD red swimming costume with logo (girls)
- SISD red swimming trunks and SISD red swimming top with logo (boys)
Students must also bring:
- Water shoes
- Goggles
- Swimming cap
- A bag for wet swimwear
An official SISD swimming bag is available but optional.
PHE Uniform
Students must:
- Change into the SISD red round-neck PE t-shirt and black PE shorts at the beginning of each lesson
- Change back into standard uniform after class
Shoes
Students may wear:
- Black shoes/Trainers for daily school use in Primary and sensible closed-toe shoes for Secondary
- Appropriate sports footwear for PE and sports activities
Daily Essentials
Please ensure students bring each day:
- School ID
- Refillable water bottle
- Snack and lunch box
All items should fit inside the student backpack.
Labelling Reminder
Please label all uniform items and personal belongings with:
Child’s First Name + Last Name + Grade & Section
