The students have been working in class on how settlements form and how they are used so as a Geography project we decided to research whether people travel further to go shopping in the centre of Bratislava, than they would if they go to a smaller shopping centre in Dubravka. Students had to carry out land use surveys where they counted all of the different types of shops. They also interviewed members of the public, asking them where they were from and why they were shopping. The students did an amazing job as building up the confident to ask the general public questions is very difficult. They were polite and worked very hard. Also, they all developed their ability to gather data and speak to the public.
