As you prepare your child for the beginning of their learning journey at St Andrews Bangkok and especially their entry into Foundation Stage 1 (FS1), we are sure you will have lots of questions. Hopefully, we can help you with as many answers to these questions to help your child get ready for FS1.

To help you better understand how to sign up for St Andrews after school activities, this step by step guide helps students or their parents sign up for ECAs and Sports/Swimming squads via Moodle. This is done once a term, with dates announced via email and the newsletter.

Last April 2023, we celebrated the achievements of our Year 11 cohort, who are now in Year 12, in our IGCSE Design and Technology Showcase, showcasing their innovative projects and emphasizing the value of practical skills in education.

At the heart of our school, the Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a dedicated committee of parent volunteers who bring our community together through exciting events and activities - we are delighted to introduce the PTG Committee for 2023/2024.

St Andrews Bangkok hosted the first blood drive with parents, staff, families and student donors on Friday 30th September 2023. A total of 87 units of blood was collected and a total of 115 registered donors. Senior Studies students also had a fantastic CAS Service opportunity to support their peers and donate blood themselves. 

Something for everyone as Year 11 Drama students performed their scripted exam pieces to a live audience.

Early this September, Primary students explored 'Bodies, Bugs, and Biology' during their 'Year 6 to Year 7 Transition' visit that combined science lab exploration and insect drawing in the art studios. This immersive experience offered a sneak peek for Year 6 students into the exciting learning ahead at the High School.

Stay active this October half term break and join our popular Activity Camps. Offering a wide variety of activities for children ages 4 years old and up to keep active during the week-long break.

On Friday 1st September 2023, we welcomed alumni Andy and Taisei (STA Class of 2019) back to our High School. Both were an incredible source of inspiration and invaluable wisdom for our current Year 13 students. It was great catching up with both of them and we look forward to more alumni visits in the near future.

It's been another busy week across the school with lots of discussion about all the extra-curricular activities that were on offer, as well as the wide range of sports opportunities for children to get involved in.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education collaboration with MIT, our teachers are provided with the invaluable chance to participate in remarkable collaborations, ultimately enriching their teaching experience and the learning journey of every student they teach. Our High School STEAM and Sustainability Lead, Ms Holly, recently had the opportunity to join NAE MIT Professional Development Week which was held in Boston, Massachusetts this past summer.

Upcoming are some very informative university fairs and events that will be held in Bangkok between 20th and 30th September 2023. University fairs provide a unique opportunity for students and parents to explore a diverse range of colleges and universities, both domestic and international.

It was great to see so many children and older students attend the “Come and Try” activities last week. These certainly made both campuses feel very alive after school.

Ms Grace, our Head of Year 7, Science Teacher has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University and has completed her PGCE Secondary Science specialising in Biology from the University of Exeter.

Year 13 students came over from High School to take a look at the Primary School waterways. The purpose was to create their own projects based on the redevelopments that have taken place at the Primary site over the last year.

As part of our commitment to social change and sustainability, our students lead local initiatives to help those in need as well as support the communities close to us. We are happy to share our latest Social Impact Report 2022/23, giving highlights of the causes that St Andrews Bangkok have supported in the past academic year.

Ms Faye, our Head of Business and Enterprise, IBCP Coordinator and BTEC Quality Nominee, has been teaching at St Andrews since 2012 and graduated with Honours in Business Management from the University of  Newcastle.

Our garden area at school was recently turned into an archaeology site for Year 3s hunting for dinosaur bones.

Mr Lewis, our new Economics teacher at the High School, completed his PGCEi at the University of Nottingham and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Economics from Nottingham Trent University. He brings several years of experience in teaching Business Studies and Economics.

Congratulations again to last year's Year 11 students on their IGCSE results, with the students’ Edexcel and AQA results being published on Thursday last week.
