Our first major event for the new school charity ‘Central Thailand Mission’.

High School House

It is with great excitement that our High School have made links with and will be supporting a new charity called ‘Central Thailand Mission’. The charity name is an umbrella term which consists of lots of smaller charities throughout Thailand, therefore the funds that we raise each year will be spread across many different projects. Central Thailand Mission focuses on three words in all that they do. Care, Connect & Change. These three words define their fundamental service in making a difference and improving the lives of those whom they serve. In CARING, they reach out to those who are persecuted, orphaned, abandoned, abused and disadvantaged by challenges of poverty or physical handicaps. In Connecting, they serve in bridging the gap between those with the needs & those with the resources. In Changing, they hope to put a smile on faces and provide the light where there was previously darkness and despair.

Our aim is to build a more cohesive and practical link with the charity by encouraging and creating more opportunities for our High School students to do more service work with these different charities and get our students out in these communities with a more hands on approach.

On Sunday 10th December we will be hosting our first event for our new school charity between the hours of 3pm and 8pm The House Leaders/Captains and various Y12 CAS students will take a lead role in the running of the day and will meet the service users, carers and volunteers that are part of this amazing organization.

This week Ms Lisa and Mr Jason met with Debbie who is the coordinator of Central Thailand Mission to begin making arrangements for the big day next month. Both Ms. Lisa, Mr. Jason and the students are really excited about what is to come this year and both teachers will be meeting with Debbie again at the beginning of January to create opportunities and put a definite plan in place for our students to get more involved.
