The Primary School Library at St Andrews International School Bangkok has lots of fun Halloween activities on offer for the children to enjoy this week and don’t forget to donate any used books which are still in good condition to the Used Book Sale and earn house points.
This week we are enjoying some Halloween fun in the Library with a display of our ‘spookiest’ books, a Halloween Haiku and scary pumpkin making activities. We have some templates and coloured paper at the ready and will be giving 1 house point to everyone who takes part and adding them to our ongoing displays in the Library. Happy Halloween!
Please bring in your books for our Used Books Sale by Friday 16 November.
Our next Used Books Sale will take place simultaneously with our Book Fair throughout the week of 26 - 30 November and so we invite you all to please start filling up the House-named boxes in the Library with any books you no longer have a use for - in good condition please! House points will be awarded directly to Akha, Lahu, Karen and Yao NOT to individual students or classes BUT of course the more books you put in to your house’s box the more points will be accumulated and we will calculate the totals after the deadline date which is Friday 16 November.
Kinokuniya will be here with a wide variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, providing lots of interesting material for all ages. As usual we will receive a commission from Kinokuniya on all items sold which we will use to buy more NEW books for the Library. We will donate the sale proceeds from the used books sale to a local charity in Bangkok details to be confirmed.
Welcome back. Our selection of 'Books of the Week' for this first week of the new half term includes the second books in both 'The Uncommoners' and 'Little Legends' series. Come and get them from the library soon to continue the adventures!
With guidance from MIT, students explored a range of approaches, from research-driven proposals to hands-on prototyping. Some groups developed physical or digital models, 3D CAD designs, coded simulations, and animations, while others created scientific posters, infographics, and videos to communicate their ideas.

Their mission: to make learning interactive, inspiring, and accessible to all.
