Over the school closure and long holiday, the plants in our Secret Garden have grown and grown and grown...!

Our Secret Garden remains a lovely place to sit but has more of a jungle feel than a garden. KS2 students who sign up for the Eco-Beast ECA this term will be able to work with GROW, one of our community partners to develop the garden, but other classes will have the opportunity to get growing, too!

Our aim for this year is to turn the space into a more productive garden, giving children areas that they can develop at certain times during the year. They can grow and tend their plot, harvest, cook or sell their produce.

If you are a gardener and would like to get involved, please register your interest with Ms Susan in Y1.

International Day Preparations

You will know that a highlight of this half term is our much anticipated International Day. As Mr Paul mentioned in this week’s Head’s Lines, this will go ahead, but in discussion with the PTG Committee, we have changed the format of the event in line with current Covid-19 guidelines. More details of this will be shared shortly, but one question we are already hearing is whether there will still be the opportunity for parents to organise short dances or other cultural shows. This remains a very important part of our International Day celebrations, and as usual, we will be inviting families to participate and share their rich cultures.

If your country group is interested in taking part in the community assemblies please contact Mr Geoff at geoff.ma@standrews.ac.th as soon as possible.
