Welcome back! I hope that you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. It has been great to hear so many positive stories about students’ engagement with their lessons so far. We are looking forward to welcoming students back to campus very soon.

Happy 2022 and welcome back!

I hope that you all had as relaxing and enjoyable a holiday as possible, that any members of our community who have COVID are feeling OK and that those whose travel plans have been disrupted have these under control.

Like many other members of our community I travelled to see my family, for the first time in two years, during the Christmas holiday. While it was lovely to see my family in person, rather than in another video call, I am very pleased to be back in Thailand, where there is a real sense of collective, community responsibility.

This is exemplified by the way in which everyone in Bangkok wears their masks at all times, seeing this, as the poster above shows, as a way of protecting and respecting others.
As you know, we made the decision last week to teach Week 1 through the VSE, to allow us to have a full picture of the current health of our community before we return to school safely as soon as possible.

While this is not the way that we wanted to begin Term 2, it has been great to hear so many positive stories about students’ engagement with their lessons today. We are looking forward to welcoming students back to school soon.

ATK tests and a phased return to face-to-face teaching

Following the school’s announcement to open Term 2 for the first week through the Virtual School Experience (VSE), we ask that all students take the usual ATK tests and parents update our Health App as usual this week. As you know, these results need to be recorded twice each week, on Sunday night/Monday morning and Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Thank you very much to all those students who have already taken their ATK tests and parents who have updated the Health App last night or this morning.

We are already planning a phased return to face-to-face teaching for some Year Groups later this week, so please can any students who have not yet taken their ATK tests or parents who have not yet updated the Health App do so as soon as possible, so that we have a full picture of the current health of our community. When we do start to have some Year Groups, and then all Year Groups, back in school we will require a full set of negative ATK test results.

Thank you all again for your understanding and support as we continue to build on the success of Term 1 in keeping our community safe and healthy.

NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey

At the end of last term, you will also have received an email from Mr Paul about this year’s NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey.

We run this survey at this time every year when we are starting to plan school developments for the next academic year. The survey covers all the key areas of the school including the learning environment and teaching we provide, the way in which we support your child’s social development, our range of facilities and the way in which we communicate with our families.

We would very much like you to complete this survey as your feedback helps us to provide the best possible experiences for your child. While this link takes you through Moodle, please be assured that your responses are completely anonymous. The survey is designed to capture feedback on a per family basis, but if both parents take the survey this is also fine. Please note that parents need to complete the survey in one sitting.
