The Drama programme is an opportunity for students to have a small but potent taste of the first two years of Juilliard acting training. Your teachers will be Juilliard professors and Juilliard graduates with a deep knowledge of Juilliard’s approach.
Working and playing individually and in groups, students will become immersed in the experience of heightened language, physical expression, and a uniquely rewarding process of acting. Come join us as we bring the page to life and explore the joys of living vividly and creatively in a variety of theatrical circumstances.
The Drama Program offers three different majors - Discovery, Young Artist 1 and Young Artist 2.
Students interested in Young Artist will be placed in the appropriate group by the Juilliard Artist Faculty. Young Artist 1, open to students 13-18, will focus on character work in multiple facets, while Young Artist 2 - for students nearing the college application process - will focus on text-based work and tools for college auditions. Returning students who have participated in the Discovery drama program in prior years are eligible to apply to Young Artist 1 if they are below 13 and interested in a deeper experience in drama.
