TBSW Head Students 2023 - TBSW Head Students 2023
Following a rigorous selection process, four Year 12 students begin new leadership roles this term as Head Students.

Each of these students bring something unique to the school community and all have been assigned to an area to develop for the calendar year. Besides their experience, these students also bring a level of enthusiasm and excitement to serving their fellow students.

Hello, my name is Jemima, some of my interests include football, volleyball, and musical theatre. I have been elected as Head of Houses for this year. I am planning to be able to contribute to the school in a beneficial way and to improve house life for all students. The house system has not been fully active for some time, but I hope that with some new adjustments this year we can improve house spirit by adding a lot more House activities and introducing new competitions which will provide multiple opportunities for students at our school. I believe that a stronger House system will benefit our school so much from many aspects, students will be able to interact with others they may not usually, and student motivation levels may increase. I cannot wait to begin constructing ideas and developing this system in the new year.

Maria G. – Wellbeing

Hi! My name is Maria, I am a year 12 student, and will be your Head Girl in charge of well-being for the upcoming year. Personally, I believe it is crucial that each student enjoys school and I will give my all to ensure that happens. I will do my best to make sure that when you wake up in the morning before school every day, you will have a smile on your face. School should be treated as an opportunity to learn new things, see your friends, and add variety to your lives — not as a chore.  I hope and genuinely believe that during my time as Head Girl, our school lives will change for the better. Outside of school, I love to travel, learn new languages, and participate in sports, particularly skiing. I am sure that we will find shared passions and interests! One thing I love to do is laugh, and if you ask any of my friends, I’m sure they can confirm that is something I do 24/7. I am so excited and incredibly grateful to be taking on this role. It will undoubtedly be a challenge, but one I am willing to take on. I cannot wait to work with you and make a change!

I’m Sonia and I am delighted to be on this year’s SLT team. I have been a student at tbs warsaw since 2012 (year 2). Going into 2023 I am equally as ardent to continue my ongoing activities, winning more Model UN conferences, being part of The UN Association Poland, leading UNICEF fake news campaigns in schools across Europe, being the Secretary General of TBSMUN2023 and President of the General Assembly of TADMUN2023. I am involved in EU projects, actively help medical classes in the University of Warsaw, volunteering in my local community for 4 years now, followed with an overflow of ideas to pursue. My role is to Chair Student Council meetings, monitor attendance, and discuss submissions from students and implement them with assisting us teachers. I am driven to develop plans of action to instigate positive changes within the school and produce more projects in our community. I hope this year my activities will be useful and inspiring for my fellow peers, introducing new events and initiatives to our community, through science and tech fairs, trips to scholar events and conferences and many more.

Julian O. – Academic

My name is Julian and I am honoured to represent the school as head student, academic. Ultimately, learning is the essence of our time in school, during which we acquire a range of academic, social and athletic skills that guide us through life – every day I am grateful to God for the opportunity to study at an institution such as our own. I am therefore excited to be in a position to work with my colleagues to implement tangible positive change in this area of school life. A member of the school community since 2009, I feel strongly connected to my peers and hope that my experience and ideas will provide valuable support for students academically, celebrating curiosity and a drive for improvement. Outside school I have a passion for sports, specifically golf, tennis and running; I am also a lover of football, and a devoted Arsenal fan!
