Term 1 LEAP Summary

Term 1 LEAP Summary - Term 1 LEAP Summary
What an incredible term it has been for LEAP activities! Our students and staff have truly outdone themselves, showcasing leadership, creativity, and dedication across a variety of clubs.

The Esports team, led by Mr Vergara alongside Vladislav and Grigory, has advanced to the finals of the Minecraft competition in January—a remarkable accomplishment made possible by their motivation and leadership. The Chess Club, guided by Mr Pukos and Mr Escudero and supported by Mateus, Jan, and Adrian, has had a productive term, with students also preparing for the Global Campus chess competition qualifiers. The KS3 and KS4 rock bands gave an outstanding performance at the SHOM Christmas Fair, with Florin and Dane supporting and inspiring younger students in these bands alongside Mr Taverna. Running Club thrived under Ms Synowiec’s leadership and the ever-reliable Kajetan, who led warm-ups and activities, ensuring the club’s success. ISMTF students, with the help of Yr 13 student Weiqi, have been hard at work preparing for competitions with support from Ms Synowiec, Mr Hydzik, and Dr Latkowski. Our MUN Club, led by Karol, Sonia, Tosia and Sasha, has been an inspiration, with these leaders guiding younger Year 10 students through the intricacies of MUN, supported by Ms Cardon and Mr Clune. Debate Club leaders Kajtek and Karol have been exceptional, with their engaging sessions earning high praise from Year 8 students, who described it as “the best club ever.” Thank you to Dr Reid for his invaluable support. The Sewing and Friendship Bracelet Club, led by Yanan Danina and Hyunah Kim, has been one of the most popular this term, while the KS4 STEAM Club, enthusiastically driven by Mr Quinn and Mrs Prichard, has sparked creativity and innovation. SMILE Warsaw made a meaningful impact with their Christmas food distribution for the homeless, spreading kindness and community spirit.  A heartfelt thank you also goes to the many other incredible clubs, along with the dedicated staff and IB students who led them with such enthusiasm and commitment—your efforts have made this term truly exceptional! To end on a festive note, the British Sign Language Club created a heartwarming VIDEO wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. A huge thank you to all the students, teachers, and leaders for making this term so successful. We can’t wait to see what the next term brings—enjoy your well-deserved holiday!
