Itinerary

The Global Games is an exciting five-day program packed with sports competitions, exciting activities, and the chance to make new friends from Nord Anglia’s schools across the region. The program is designed to enable your child to thrive in an atmosphere of ambition, sportsmanship, and teamwork while enjoying some of Orlando's most popular attractions.

Day 1: Welcome to Orlando – Arrival & Dinner

Students will arrive in Orlando throughout the day. Upon arrival, participants will receive their event swag and will enjoy the hotel’s amenities and Universal CityWalk, the vibrant entertainment hub of Universal Orlando Resort. Known for its mix of dining, shopping, and live entertainment, CityWalk offers something for everyone. 

Participants will receive a gift card for dinner, which can be used at any of the dining venues within Universal CityWalk or at the hotel.

Day 2: Game On –Opening Ceremonies, First Day of Competitions & Evening Games

The first day of competitions at Windermere Preparatory School begins with the highly anticipated Global Games Opening Ceremonies, a dynamic kickoff filled with energy, celebration, and memorable moments. This is followed by an exciting day of athletic competition. 

In the evening, students will visit either Dave & Buster’s or Main Event for dinner and a fun-filled experience of games and team bonding. From arcade challenges to interactive attractions, students will connect with peers from across the Americas region in an energetic and social setting.

Day 3: Sports & Cinema – Competitions Continue & Universal Studios Adventure

Competitions at Windermere Preparatory School continue today. In the afternoon, students will head to Universal Studios Florida, one of the world’s premier movie-based theme parks. Here, they’ll step into the action of their favorite films and TV shows, experiencing immersive attractions and thrilling rides like the interactive Men in Black: Alien Attack, the dark and adrenaline-pumping Revenge of the Mummy, and the exciting Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.  

From exploring Diagon Alley in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to encountering Transformers and The Simpsons, there’s excitement around every corner. Participants will receive a Universal gift card to use toward dinner at one of the park’s many dining locations.

Day 4: Championship Day – Final Games, Awards & Islands of Adventure

Final games will take place in the morning, leading into an energetic closing awards ceremony in the early afternoon. Following the celebration, students will spend the remainder of the day at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, where stories and adventures come to life. 

From soaring through the Forbidden Forest on Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™ to braving the intense thrills of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ and the high-speed Jurassic World VelociCoaster, students will experience a day full of unforgettable adventure. 

Participants will receive a Universal gift card to enjoy dinner at any of the park’s diverse dining options, giving them the chance to unwind and enjoy the immersive surroundings of Islands of Adventure.

Day 5: Farewell – Departure & Travel Home

Students and chaperones will be transported from the hotel to the airport by coach. Departure times will be scheduled in advance according to each school’s flight itinerary.
