Philippa Statham

Northbridge International School Cambodia - Philippa

Drama Teacher

Philippa has been living in Cambodia for 3 years and has joined NISC from iCAN British International School.

  • BA (Hons) Drama - Liverpool John Moores University, UK
  • PGCE Drama - Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK

As a UK qualified teacher, Philippa’s career has taken her in several different directions. She taught Drama and English before moving into Inclusion and working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit.) She was seconded, as a middle manager, to set up an Inclusion Unit in a large secondary school in Brighton. 7 years later, she made the move to Cambodia and back to drama teaching.

Philippa had spent some time teaching in Siem Reap between 2002-4 and fell in love with Cambodia and its people. In 2016, she moved back here with her children as a Drama and English teacher at iCAN British International School, Phnom Penh.

Philippa loves theatre and especially directing her own shows. She also enjoys running, swimming and weekends away at the beach or in the countryside with family and friends. She is looking forward to the opportunities that will come from working at NISC - especially links with Juilliard!
