Over the last 5 years, dance has developed across the key stages offering CPD to the male members of the PE Department and detailed resource packs that allow the staff to deliver the units of work with knowledge and confidence. Each year there is a learning focus that provides additional support to allow the dance programme to flourish. In previous years it has been the introduction of the Juilliard creative classroom and the set works.

This year the male members of the PE Department participated in a CPD workshop that introduced them to the dance style of Hip Hop. The workshop involved all members of the male department learning the given style and allowing them time to understand and appreciate how this would link to the unit of work for Year 7. Mr Baker, Mr Cochlin, Mr Givens are Mr Collinson really do have the moves on the dance floor. Look out Year 7 and get ready to show your rhythm and talents.
