World Kindness Day 2019

World Kindness Day 2019 World Kindness Day is taking place ​on Wednesday 13th November. As​ a school, we are raising awareness​​ of the importance of kindness in ​our everyday lives and highlighting​ all the wonderful things we do as a​ school community to help and care​ for others. World Kindness Day is taking place ​on Wednesday 13th November, and on this day, all​ students are invited to wear yellow​ to school. In addition, we are asking our school community to take part in our #bisbekind initiative.

Kindness is defined as “the quality​ of being friendly, generous, and​ considerate.”​​

​​Students at BIS Abu Dhabi recognise the importance of our school values and are generous when embracing and representing our values of Kindness, Honesty and Respect with each other and our wider community.

World Kindness Day is taking place ​on Wednesday 13th November. As​ a school, we are raising awareness​​ of the importance of kindness in ​our everyday lives, whilst highlighting​ all the wonderful things we do as a​ school community to help and care​ for others. Therefore, on this day, all​ students are invited to wear yellow​ to school. We ask, that when ​students dress in their normal ​clothes, that they consider the culture​ and traditions of the country in ​​which we live. ​​

Throughout the day, there will be a number of activities that will be linked to kindness for all of our students to get involved in.

In addition, we are asking our school community to take part in our #bisbekind initiative. Students and families are encouraged to capture acts of kindness that they are involved in, both inside and outside of school, and send the pictures to bisbekind@bisad.ae so we can showcase all of them.
