Having recently started at BIS Abu Dhabi, I am thoroughly enjoying settling into life at our wonderful school.  I work as the PA to Mr. Horne, keeping the office organised, things running smoothly and managing a busy calendar of school business and appointments. My role is extremely diverse - no two days are the same and as a result, I work with many different departments, teams and projects across the school. I also provide a friendly face for anyone in our school community that needs it, staff, students and parents alike - student visits are often the highlight of my day, especially when they bring along their latest project for me to see! I love the sense of achievement I get every day and the opportunity to reach so many people in our school community.

Previously I worked at HEFCE (Higher Education and Funding Council for England) supporting the Registrar and Directors of Regulation and Assurance, I have worked as a PA for many years and prior to that came from an Events Production background. Over the years I have worked in many different countries and with people from all walks of life – I find people fascinating, everyone has a story and I’m always interested to learn new things about them. I grew up in a very multi-cultural family with a French/Italian father and an English/South African mother, my great grandmother was Russian and my husband is Scottish and Polish; our children are an absolute mixture and our family embraces all sorts of traditions from the different cultures in our background.

I live in Abu Dhabi with my husband and two wonderful daughters, who are both studying here at BIS Abu Dhabi. This is our second round in the UAE, previously we lived here for six years, but after four years in the UK, we realised how much we missed Abu Dhabi and decided to make the return journey back.  We are delighted to be here again and keep ourselves busy exploring the many things on offer in this amazing city!
