Fabah began her BIS Abu Dhabi journey all the way back in January 2014, joining in Year 2. Over the last 11 years, she’s grown into a driven, creative, and compassionate young woman, graduating this year with an outstanding D*D*D* in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business, alongside completing three IB Diploma Programme courses in Higher Level English, and Standard Level Economics, and Mathematics Applications and Interpretation.
Recalling results day, she shared: “When I got my results and saw D*D*D*, I felt absolutely ecstatic! All the hard work and determination really paid off, and it was a huge relief to know I had achieved such a great outcome.”
Fabah has her sights set on a double degree in Business and IT, with top universities like The University of Queensland and The University of Sydney on her list. She sees this combination of studies as the perfect foundation for her future, blending strong business acumen with vital tech skills. Looking ahead, it’s not just the academics that excite her, it’s the independence and opportunity for personal growth that come with living abroad.
Reflecting on her BTEC experience, she credits the programme for preparing her not just academically, but for life beyond the classroom. “Studying BTEC Business was incredibly helpful in preparing me for university, especially because of its practical and real-world focus. I undertook numerous projects that required research, critical analysis and reporting. It wasn't just about memorising, it was about understanding and applying. That real-world perspective truly set me apart in my university applications.”
Her dream for the future is to start her own business, bringing her ideas to life and creating lasting impact. Outside the classroom, Fabah was a well-rounded and an active member of the BIS Abu Dhabi community. She participated in football, badminton, and netball CCAs, contributed her creativity to school production set building, and supported various charity drives, all while managing her academic commitments with dedication and heart.
When asked to share one of her fondest memories of school, she said: “Definitely the time spent with my friends during lunch breaks and after-school CCAs. The times we would stroll through the corridors greeting teachers and creating unforgettable memories. I’ll always cherish those shared experiences and the strong bonds we formed.” When asked what she’ll miss most, her answer came from the heart: “The strong sense of community, the supportive teachers who always pushed me to do my best, and the friendships I’ve built over the years. It’s been a second home for a long time and always will be.” As she closes this chapter, Fabah shared her gratitude for the teachers who supported her along the way: “Your support and dedication have really meant a lot.”
Congratulations, Fabah! Your positivity, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit will no doubt lead you to great things. We’re so proud of all you’ve achieved, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as you take on your next adventure in Australia.
