After weeks of preparation, planning and, I must add, considerable frustration with the delays, I am delighted to finally be in school. Leading the school remotely was a somewhat strange experience, and whilst not an ineffective strategy, no amount of technology can replace face to face contact; people together in the same space at the same time.
At BIS Hanoi, on-going formative assessment of our children’s learning happens every day and in every lesson. Through this daily assessment, our teachers are able to plan and pitch their lessons to all of the children’s different abilities and stages of learning. By assessing this way, the teachers understand what the children know already and what their next steps in learning should be.
STEAM education has a central place in the school curriculum at BIS Hanoi. With outstanding Science, Technology and Art facilities and the very best teachers, BIS Hanoi has everything required to inspire our students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths.
At BIS Hanoi, the safety of our students is at the core of everything we do. Starting from this week, we are actively taking prevention measures as Secondary students return. Here is what Mr Jay Graham, our Deputy Head of Secondary, has to share about the steps taken at BIS to ensure safety at school.
