It was great to meet a number of new and returning parents at our Friends of BIS coffee morning on Monday.

Three students from last year’s Year 11 cohort have received prestigious awards from Cambridge International Education to acknowledge their outstanding performance in the June 2021 Cambridge examination series.

At Friday’s Assembly, students and teachers presented a dialogue around one of our school values: Respect.

At the beginning of December, a group of Year 9 Geography students took on the challenge of teaching Year 6 pupils about the extraordinary world of earthquakes and volcanoes.

Ahead of World Children’s Day on November 20th, today BIS Hanoi Primary students took part in an exciting day of events and activities.

World Children’s Day was the focus this week, with engaging activities running through Form Tutor sessions and during assembly.

As part of their CAS project, our Year 13 students taught our primary pupils about the importance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (or Global Goals).

While our students have been learning virtually, we’ve taken the opportunity to upgrade and add to the existing state-of-the-art facilities at our learning campus.

What a jam-packed first half-term it has been! I am sure everyone is ready to rest and recharge of our non-screen batteries over the coming half-term break.

On September 25th, a group of Secondary students from BIS Hanoi launched a music documentary titled ‘Darkness to Light’ as part of their community project called 'Silver Lining'.

Students at The British International School Hanoi, part of the global Nord Anglia Education family of schools, are celebrating after receiving their IGCSE results.

Our students achieve more than they may have thought possible. We believe there is no limit to what students can achieve socially, personally and academically. This year, our students’ academic results reflect our shared commitment to excellence in this area.

Last week was a very exciting week for mathematics at BIS. Students across the Primary School took part in a House Maths competition featuring a variety of different tasks and challenges that the students engaged in across the week.

On Tuesday (June 1st), our KS3 students competed in their first Virtual House Competition, called "The Lockdown Games." Their Heads of Year assigned them four fascinating assignments in which they could earn points for their house. Towards the end of the game, the House with the most winning points was crowned champion.

The final term of Year 6 is very busy and thrilling, but it is also a very emotional time for our students when they begin to bid farewell to their Primary lives and look forward to the start of their Secondary journey. Here at BIS, the Year 6 and 7 teams collaborate to ensure that the transition process helps our students be well prepared for this step up, and that they feel confident, ready and a lot less nervous!

Last Friday (May 7) five of our Secondary student leaders had an opportunity to hear from expert speakers and exchange ideas with other international students at the FOBISIA Student Leadership Summit hosted by Nexus International School Malaysia. The virtual summit was a memorable event that gave our students many valuable lessons to further improve their leadership skills.

Out of over 1200 entries from over 25 countries, the essays of two BIS Hanoi recent graduates, Valerie Lua and Kieu Quoc Thai, have been shortlisted and published in the final book, which displays all of the winning pieces.
