We had a fun evening on Tuesday, when over 50 Year 8 parents attended lessons at British International School Hanoi. The Teach Your Parent event was organised by Mrs Wild (Head of Key Stage 3) with the support of the year 8 teachers but the real stars were the children and their parents

I would like to start by celebrating BIS Primary success in ICT. Last weekend, Noah, Tuong Anh, Ky Lam, Nam Khoi, Xuan An and Coco from Year 5 and 6 entered a Global Codeathon hosted by UNIS.

A big thank you to all the students, teachers and parents who supported the school's first ever Teach Your Parents evening. We had a fantastic turnout and it was wonderful to see the students engaging so positively with their own parents and other members of the school community.

Only three days in school this week however so much has happened! I must start by congratulating the Year 3 children who went home yesterday after lessons and returned with pillows, pajamas, swimsuits, teddy bears and a toothbrush; yes, it was the annual sleepover for our 7 and 8 year olds!

As a staff here at British International School Hanoi, we wish all of the students who are preparing to take their external exams, the very best of luck, and that they are rewarded for the effort that they have put into their studies.

It has been an extremely productive and positive week at British International School Hanoi. As I reported last week, we have been undertaking our CIS/WASC accreditation visit.

Today (Monday) Year 12 arrived safely in Mai Chau at lunchtime. We are looking forward to our week of service work for the CAS element of the IB course. This afternoon consisted of a beautiful bicycle ride through lush rice paddy fields, followed by building and then racing bamboo rafts on a small lake.

As I am sure you are aware British International School Hanoi has been a member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) since October 2015. FOBISIA is a federation made up of 55 prestigious British type schools from all over Asia. As Simon Weston the FOBISIA Chair states:
